Hearing loss can occur at
any age and for many reasons. In adults, probably the most common period to
experience
hearing loss is between the ages of 49 and 55 years. Surprisingly,
people are often not aware when a hearing loss has developed. Some forms of
hearing loss are very mild and may only involve difficulty in hearing certain
sounds or hearing in specific situations.
Additionally, some types
of hearing loss may occur so gradually that they progress without being noticed.
Eventually, the hearing loss can lead to feelings of isolation, frustration and
even depression.

evaluation. Our office is staffed by licensed Audiologists holding a
Master's degree or above in Audiology.
Because of our advanced
training in the study of hearing and hearing loss, we are uniquely prepared to
assist in the comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation of your hearing needs.
While Audiologists do not treat medical diseases of the ear, we can recognize
the need for and make a referral to a physician.
